Rick Donley

Rick Donley is a Senior Consultant at PlanPILOT, with over 25 years of financial industry experience, working with both Plan Sponsors and Consultants as they review and revise their retirement plan programs.  He joined PlanPILOT in June of 2023 and is focused on private K-12 and Higher Education Multiple Employer Plans.  His areas of expertise include plan design, plan governance and investment oversight.  Rick assists his clients with investment recommendations, participant communications, and education targeted at improving overall participant outcomes.

Prior to joining PlanPILOT, Rick was the leader of the Consultant Relations and Investment Only teams at a financial services firm based in Washington DC.  Prior to that, Rick was a Managing Director of Consultant Relations for a financial services firm based in New York City.  While there he was responsible for key national consulting firm relationships and served as the Consultant Relations lead for the Central region.  Prior to that, Rick worked for a financial services firm based in San Francisco and across his tenure there he managed the Human Resources function for the Retirement Plan Services division, worked as the Chief of Staff to the Corporate Services Enterprise President, and managed the Consultant Relations efforts in the Northeast region.

Rick received a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Pre-Med), Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and Master of Arts in Psychology from Cleveland State University.  Rick is married, has 3 adult sons, and currently resides in Aurora, Ohio.   In his spare time he enjoys traveling, restoring old vehicles, and fishing
