Role Description

PlanPILOT, LLC in Chicago, IL seeks Performance Analyst. Lead the day-to-day investment reporting processes of the organization, as well as maintain responsibility for investment oversight duties to clients. Responsible for effectively preparing materials for client investment meetings. Gain familiarity with all of the firm’s investment reporting processes and identify opportunities for improved efficiencies where possible. Understand the context and nuances of investment performance and communicate clearly and effectively with clients internally and externally. Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on client and prospect investment options. Support formal investment monitoring processes along with specific client-related investment projects.

Required Qualifications

Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Must also possess course work, internship, or work experience with

(i) Wealth Management: reviewing portfolios based on clients’ risk tolerances, time horizon, and preferences;

(ii) reviewing asset classes/categories, reviewing investment benchmarks, and working with recordkeepers such as Fidelity;

(iii) monitoring investment returns and comparing portfolios to benchmark investment objectives;

(iv) monitoring reporting variances and proactively resolving issues;

(v) analyzing diverse investment options in the fixed and variable income category;

(vi) compiling investment reports with accurate/detailed visual representations comparing investment returns and performance against the market;

(vii) presenting investment research to peers, including overall market commentary and specific investment opportunities for a portfolio;

(viii) project management, follow-up, and ability to execute to completion;

(ix) PowerPoint;

(x) Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, conditional formatting, and managing large databases with advanced formulas (such as macros, lookup formulas, index, and filter) to optimize team’s operations; and

(xi) converting Excel charts into Microsoft Office Word for reporting.
